A Little Wine Trivia Fun. Wine Quiz #5

My latest installment of Craig’s Wine quizzes is a little lighter in nature. Since most are vacationing at this time of year, the last thing I want is to have anything remotely resembling work. It is more of a wine trivia game, than a quiz. Yes, I can be trivial at times, but hopefully fun as well. The goal here is to come away with what I call “a little bit of useless wine knowledge”, to share with friends and family over a nice meal or while chilling out on the deck or dock. Once again, scores only matter if… you’re keeping them.

If you learn one new thing about wine today…it’s a good day!

Cheers & Enjoy!

1. What is the French paradox?

2. What are wine legs?

3. Where is the oldest winery in North America?

4. Name the Greek God of Wine.

5. Approximately how many documented grape varieties exist?

6. How old is winemaking?

7. Who said “Wine is bottled poetry”?

8. How many regular 750ml bottles does a Salmanazar hold?

9. Which is the bottle shape commonly named Bordeaux?

10. Choose the Hock shaped bottle.

If you're having fun, here is the BONUS question. Good Luck! 11. Who said: "Some weasel took the cork out of my lunch "?
