The World’s Largest Wine Barrel

The worlds largest wine barrel, located in Heildelberg, Germany holds 220,000 litres and stands over 6 meters high. Built in the 1700’s, it is said to have never been anything but empty. What a pity even though there is a dance floor built on top of it for “partying”.

And I have had the pleasure of visiting this castle!!!! I was only 16 at the time and was not a big fan of wine – sure wish I was there now!! :)
